Psinthos Village, Rhodes

Charming Psinthos village fans out from a lively central square, scattered with plane trees and lined with family-friendly tavernas known for grilled meats. Walking routes in the nearby Valley of the Butterflies nature reserve pass through sweetgum forest, where thousands of butterflies gather between late May and August. A rare fish called gizani, indigenous to Rhodes, is bred in Fasouli Lake.
