A Monachus monachus seal was found by citizens on the beach of Kolymbia, visibly emaciated and distressed.
Staff of the Rhodes Hydrobiological Station-Aquarium transported the animal to the Station's facilities where it is being monitored by a specialized veterinarian in collaboration with the ARION Cetacean Rescue and Care Center and the MOm Mediterranean Seal Study and Protection Center - Monachus monachus .
