"Rodoula" insists: The next few days are critical for the health of the little seal that was rescued in Rhodes

The next few days will be critical for the small seal Monachus monachus that was found on the beach of Rhodes a few days ago and looked distressed.

Little Rodoula is hanging on! Despite her weight, which is half of what it should be for her age (15.6kg instead of ~30) and the parasites found in her digestive system, she is rather lively given her state, and she is taking it out on her caretakers!

Having spent two months with her mother already, she "knows" she is a wild seal, making sure to remind us on every feeding session with her little teeth! The next few days are extremely critical for her, but we hope that she will overcome her issues and be back at sea soon! 

The rehabilitation of Rodoula takes place in MOm's facilities housed in the Attica Zoological Park and supported by the Monk Seal Alliance and the Green Fund.
