The celebration of the Epiphany was celebrated this morning with all splendor in the city of Rhodes.
At the Annunciation of Rhodes, the ceremony for the Great Sanctification began shortly after 10:00 in the morning, presided over by the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Rhodes, Mr. Cyril and at 11 in the morning the Holy Cross was thrown for the sanctification of the waters.
A large number of people, including local officials, attended the water consecration ceremony, while a total of 26 of our fellow citizens took a dip in the water this year. The Holy Cross was raised by Vangelis Kariofyllakis, who has also raised the Cross in other years.
